.lk Domain Policy

The rules for every .lk domain you register through us — including what the LK Domain Registry itself requires.

Plain-language summary — the full terms below prevail. Questions? [email protected]

1. Eligibility

.lk and second-level domains (.com.lk, .org.lk, .edu.lk, etc.) follow LK Domain Registry eligibility: organisations register with a business registration number; individuals with a NIC/passport. Some namespaces need supporting documents — we will ask during checkout and the order stays pending until verified.

2. Your duties as registrant

  • Provide accurate registrant, admin and technical contacts and keep them current.
  • The domain must not infringe trademarks or be registered in bad faith; the registry can cancel abusive registrations.
  • Respond to verification and dispute notices within the stated deadlines — silence can lose the domain.

3. Fees, renewal & expiry

Registration and renewal fees are non-refundable once submitted to the registry. Domains must be renewed before expiry; expired names pass through the registry's grace/redemption process where redemption fees apply. We email reminders but you are responsible for renewing on time.

4. Disputes

.lk disputes follow the LK Domain Registry dispute-resolution policy; gTLD disputes (if offered) follow ICANN UDRP. We implement registry or panel decisions without liability to you.

5. Our role

We act as your registration agent, not the registry. Registry rules override anything here if they conflict. Public WHOIS shows registrant details as the registry requires — see Privacy for details.
